“In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome.” 1 John 5:3
Christ’s commands are not burdensome, but a blessing. Man’s expectations can be an unbearable weight of unattainable actions. Like a backpack of bricks, the rigid control of proud leaders enslaves hearts. But joy and peace are the fruit of following hard after what Jesus wants. The yoke of Christ brings freedom, security and rest. Thus, the ultimate expression of love for God is obedience to God. Genuine love gladly obeys the Lord.
Furthermore, our love for the Lord matures as our love for His law grows in intensity and intimacy. How can we say we love God if we remain ignorant of His Word? Our precious Bible is a manual of how to love the Lord well. He defines what makes Him feel loved: reverent worship, joyful praise, humble prayers, forgiveness, generosity to the poor, caring for widows and orphans, proclaiming the gospel and training up the faithful.
“Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.” Psalm 119:165
Is your love for God an expression of your obedience to God? Indeed, you will be tempted to try the world’s ways and wander away from the Almighty’s path of purity. Grace is the gravel God places under your shoes of faith so you won’t stumble on Satan’s slippery path of deception. Trust gives you traction to follow Jesus. Do what Christ expects and you can expect His energy to empower your actions. Obedience pays!
What command is Christ asking you to keep? Perhaps you need to forgive another as God, for Christ’s sake, has forgiven you. A money matter may be haunting your happiness and it is time to write off the debt without writing off the debtor. Pray without ceasing, give without regrets, believe without doubting, love without conditions and forgive without expectations. Your obedience to God is an indicator of your love for God. Thus, by grace, obey well. Freedom is the fruit of following Jesus. Your obedience helps others obey!
“If you love me, keep my commands.” John 14:15
Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me the courage to follow the commands of Christ.

OUR LIVE NATIONAL PRAYER BEGINS AT 8pm PDT -10pm CDT -11pm EDT
WELCOME FAMILY IN CHRIST!
Thank You Father that You hear and answer prayer, for we offer them in Jesus' name. Jesus Bread of Life, Hope of the World, we praise and worship You! We trust all these requests to Your care.
Welcome Lisa, glad you could join us tonight!
I recall that you have mentioned your respiratory problem back in the summer. I'm sorry to learn that you are still suffering. You have my prayers that God will provide you with the knowledge necessary to heal.
Debbie, way back in Deuteronomy God, through Moses, told the Israelites that they were losing His support because they failed to obey His commandments. How can it be so difficult to follow 10 statutes? As said, the more you follow the Lord the more you personally profit. I have always known this premise, though I have gone astray at times.
Thank goodness for advancing age which allows less temptation and more room for wisdom.
Dawn, I'm sad for your loss. I know how meaningful an animal can be in our life.
I am sorry I dozed off I am going to say goodnight I am hoping that I will be able to get up as soon as the house warms The furnace goes into day mode at about 5:00 am so I hope to get up then.
Carol, welcome! Glad to have you here.
Barbara, sweet dreams! Stay cozy and warm!
Thank you all for your prayers.....I have done all I can think of to do, the matter in in His hands. I listened to Alex Jones today...anyone ever listen to him, he is o-line and lives in Austin TX. He had a sherrif from PA on who says if he is ordeed to confiscate guns he will not obey an unconstitutional order. Further talk guests revealed that the Pres is going to sign an exec order to collect all guns and stop sales.

They were discussing that this may be an attempt to force a civil war and that perhaps lead to the ultimate idea of declaring Marshall Law. Now here is something to pray about!
Well my dear friends, time for me to say good-night. Thank you for joining me tonight. My love to all!
24 “‘“The Lord bless you
and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine upon you
and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”’
Do you think that the talk guests had credible basis for their information?

Night, Dawn, and thanks,
Good morning prayer warriors. It is so good to see our group returning to activity. I'm sorry i dropped off the face of the earth, my internet went down and I gave up. Maggie, please do work on something in your neck of the woods. Group, when are you open to reuniting?
I come in complete agreement with all of your prayer requests.
Hey everyone, thanks for your prayers. I went to the ER last night and my oxygen was pretty low at 95. They still didn't find pneumonia but I was diagnosed with bronchitis and severe asthma. I got new tubing for my nebulizer and it helped to get the medicine in. They also put me on more steroids. James says that I have more color today, although I did sleep all day. I have had a history of life long asthma although I have been healed of it twice.

It has literally been months of fighting for my health lately.
Dawn, I am praying for your dog. I am so sorry that you haven't found her. Have you called the pound?
Janette, a reunion sounds great. Wouldn't that be wonderful to meet everyone in person. It was so awesome in Dallas and I miss all of you so. James and I are talking about visiting California this summer. His mom and sister live in Sacramento and my sister is in Santa Cruz and my other sister is in Newbury Park. Not that I want to see them (haha) I want to see you and OTBM!
Maggie, Branson would be great, too. I feel bad that I'm not up on all that's happening with everyone. I've just been struggling with my health so much. I will check for mold because that has almost killed me in the past and we have had water damage from our AC.
Thanks again, dear family in Christ. I love all of you very much.
Laurie, I'm glad to know that you are experiencing some relief today.
I am joining you in prayer that God will offer you comfort and the reassurance that you will heal and be able to resume your active, productive life. And, most importantly, that you are able to sing clearly, beautifully in giving praise to the Lord.
Awwww, thank you Carol! Love you!
Love you, too.
Your support keeps freedom alive!
