Scriptural Choices
I have spoken on many posts about the choices we make. When God created each of us He gave us that freedom to make personal choices. Our choices can determine what kind of outcome we will have. I decided to find some scriptual choices to compare our daily choices with. I found several so I will be posting this over the next few weeks, Some of the scriptural choices are worth saving for review in our daily thoughts. Please comment on your thoughts of these spiritual choices. Each one speaks to me in many ways. Let us each think and pray over our choices we make in our daily lives and how God would have us to follow His choice.

Matthew 7:13-14 ESV
“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

Proverbs 14:12 ESV
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.

Philippians 4:8 ESV
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Proverbs 19:21 ESV
Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.

Galatians 6:7-8 ESV
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Proverbs 16:9 ESV
The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

Matthew 6:1 ESV
“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.

Thank you YF. That story shows us that we think we are making the right choices when we are far offbase in Gods eyes. We MUST stay focussed, foccussed and focussed only on God to make the right choices. Thanks and God Bless Maggie

Love your story YF. I fear that the worst choices I have made in my life is to make no choise.

Maggie, these are wonderful scriptures to live by. I really like Phillipians 4:8 and I really need to practice it more. Rather than sit and watch all of the bad news in the world, I really think we need a little reprieve into goodness. That's what I love about music. We can praise and worship Him and experience His beauty and love.

Good one, Yeshua Friend!

Thanks Barbara great for joining us tonight, You are right sometimes no choices can be as bad as bad choices. We do not realize how many choices we are faced with in a day. Love and God Bless maggie

Thanks Laurie for being here. I also like the ones in Proverbs which are short and to the point. They made me stop and think about the goodness of our God. Happy to hear you had this miracle. Many of our problems is because we hold unto them and not release them to God. That is satan and his tatics that keeps us in doubt. Once our eyes are opened and we see the real truth, it does make us laugh how blind we have been. Love and God Bless maggie aka Mom

Carol you might think about this quote: " He who winks at a fault causes trouble, but he who frankly reproves promotes peace." Proverbs 10:10 What is being said there is the easy choice or no choice at all is probably the wrong choice

Thank you Carol. These choices I had to read a few times to begin to understand. We are so accomstomed in our flesh to do things we think are good but it comes back we are doing for our own agenda. That is a question I have to ask myself. Am I doing this for my benifits or because it is what God would want me to do. I found out my actions in the past were to get a reaction for me and that is not what God wants all of me.

Thanks for your response, Maggie and Barbara,
And you both are so correct in that we have no choice but to act and our purpose for doing so must go far beyond our own benefit.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God...that man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. --2 Timothy 3:14-17

Carol, keep speaking the truth at all costs. The only thing we can take to Heaven with us is souls.

"Had to leave my church because of my new big mouth!"

Well sister: Carol; Yeshua Church has always been a hospital for sinners, so there is not one person in it which does not belong there. The one which presumes themselves to be so holy and righteous, that they can judge who should stay, or who should have to leave, is one of the most critical of all of Yeshua patients.

Rom 3:23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"
