Join us for a little protest in front of the Denver Federal Center, where we'll be posting one of our famous Bridge to Nowhere Tea Party messages. We'll be bringing attention to the outrageously expensive ($40 million) solar panel project installed using Stimulus funds, which will not be paid back in energy savings for about 48 years, or approximately two or three times the expected life of the panels. And we'll be pointing out how our President just denied a truly useful, privately funded energy project, the Keystone XL Pipeline from Canada, which would have created thousands of jobs, provided oil from a reliable partner country, and taken some of the pressure off of rising gas prices, all at no cost (or a net benefit) to taxpayers. Dumb huh?
So naturally, our sign this week will be TRADE PANELS FOR PIPELINE.
Come help us out and we'll have some fun. Or at the very least, drive by and honk. See you Saturday.
Come join us and help post a message about government waste of stimulus funds on a boondoggle solar panel project at the Denver Federal Center, plus government interference in a sensible alternative, the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada. Our message this week: TRADE PANELS FOR PIPELINE.
Come join us and help post a message about government waste of stimulus funds on a boondoggle solar panel project at the Denver Federal Center, plus government interference in a sensible alternative, the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada. Our message this week: TRADE PANELS FOR PIPELINE. We need lots of folks to hold the signs as they won't let us hang anything on the fence. Meet up across Kipling (east) from the Federal Center entrance at local park. Please RSVP so we have an idea how big a message we can post.
