What is going to happen to our 401 (k) accounts and IRA's after January 1? Will the retirement accounts for which many Americans have sacrificed so much to accumulate be rolled over into federally issued and guaranteed bonds in order to prop up notoriously under-funded, union pension funds across the country?

I have been hearing about this for the last couple of years/ it would be nothing more then theft if they do it. I myself am against it. some folks I know would think it would be great

I don't think there is any news but bad news coming out of DC

Dakota, Congress goes on a break for Christmas ... that would be good news especially if they never returned unless they aquired common sense.

They have been looking at a way to make this happen since Obama got into office. Just like gun control now that he no longer has to worry about public outcry it's just a matter of time. Don't ever think that they got silent and forgot their agenda.

I think we are in for hellish 4 years. the only thing that might help us is if we can get the house to stop things. well honestly I don't have much faith in them not caving either;

We can pray for a new speaker of the house ... one with a spin.

Kenneth, I think they're all on the Barack O'Claus naughty list - no spines will be given (out of fear they will be used)

Wait a sec, considering he's trying to ditch the coal industry, he can't give out lumps of coal either. Hmmm.
