I'm not saying anything about banning guns. But this article is a horrible argument, for the following reasons:
1. Where in the Constitution does it say the government can mandate that I own and maintain a gun? This article promotes that idea, using the town of Kenesaw as an example.
2. Big Pharma indeed is a problem, and their big money protects them from legislation. News flash, the same is true of the arms trade. It's big money and they count on lobbying to protect the business.
3. Not every type of arm is allowed, anyway. In effect, we already have gun control. Can you own hand grenades? Can you collect bomb-making materials? Do you own a bazooka or a big-bore machine gun? Should you? The fact is, we already have a line drawn for gun control. Are you really asking to have it completely removed?
4. The list of crimes that cannot be prevented by gun control makes up the bulk of this article. It has nothing to do with the argument. All it does is add noise, and obscure whatever might be good about this article.

Instead of getting lost in these points, I had hoped to see a story about how society is crumbling and why. Here is one point to consider... We are becoming accustomed to mass violence. Remember when the Viet Nam Vets used to go crazy and kill their fellow employees at the post office? The first incident paralyzed the nation. In very little time, "Going Postal" became a laugh line in stand-up routines. Remember Columbine? It paralyzed the nation. In very little time we all sat around and sad, "Yet another kid went nuts at high school." Now we're paralyzed by the murder of 3rd-graders. How long before we shrug our shoulders and say, "They're at it again?" This is what a crumbling society looks like to me.

Are you afraid for your children going to school? Then homeschool and quit giving them to the government. Allowing people you don't know impressing upon their young minds their values and morals - unless of course you have no morals and values. We as parents are the ones that are suppose to educate our children, not the government.

We are without leaders; our economies are in shambles, and our youth and adults doesn't know the truth that comes from Christ Jesus. Our second highest office holder showed juvenile temperament, disrespect and meaness during the reelection debate. His sophomoric way in which rudeness and cynicism were demostrated at such a high level speaks volumes of where we are as a nation in terms of character. Our nation is heading towards becoming a third world country. Only a change to righteousness, morality, ethics and honesty will save us.

Media and their cohorts - liberal politicians, Hollywood elites and vast minions
of undereducated/underinformed citizens - are complicit and share responsibility
for the violence perpetrated on innocents. This observation is the "800 pound
gorilla in the room" that nobody wants to recognize or at least verbalize.
There's no easy answer but it's been said (rightly so) that a complex problem
has a simple, but wrong, answer.

It must be said that politicians, in Washington, D.C., are accountable for their
inaction, petty bickering, truth obfuscation and lack of cooperation in their
feeble efforts to conduct the serious business of governance.

I believe the continuing climate of desperation they create is more than
adequate to nudge the "nutjobs" a little closer to the edge of insane acts of
violence; unless our "leaders" recognize this, more of the same violence may
persist.

Our leaders need to put the interests of Americans before their own.
Cooperation, empathy, consideration and civility need to replace the bickering,
confusion, condescension and disrespect most Americans despise but all to often
observe in our elected officials.

Society crumbles after 5 decades of their anti-God, immoral, self-centered agenda of hate being pumped into the brains of children via Hollywood script, MTV and video games. Their answer??? Take the tools from good people trying to survive in the resulting aftermath of liberalism. My dream...Imagine a community where Democratic voters could not possess guns! Armed robberies...zero. Murders...zero. Ahh...think about the peace which would ensue.

There are so many things that we can blame for the tragedy in CT. The top of the list, however, should be the fact that the killers mother knowingly kept these weapons in a house with a mentally ill kid. I don't care what kind of a passion she had for guns. She was stupid and selfish to trust that it was OK to have guns near him.
Obama has turned the attitude in this country into one of low morals, desperation and helter skelter. There is a feeling he has projected onto millions of Americans, that whatever they want they should have. Not by earning it but by taking it. Another four years of this and it's scary to think what it will be like.

This is only the beginning and the reason is Obama's class warfare. Obama has created a class of people dependant on the government. In addition they believe that if they don't have what they want just take it. Obama's plan is to spend this country into bankruptcy. He would rather lead this country into socialism then concede capitalism works.
