50 > 1: Changing Washington from the Outside | FreedomWorks
Ask your neighbors and co-workers a simple question: "What are the wealthiest counties in America?" Here are the answers I got: "Is Manhattan a county? That has to be one of the richest." "Which county has Beverly Hills?" "San Francisco County has to be up there. Silicon Valley too."

We can change Washington from the outside by insisting that the 17th Amendment of the Constitution be repealed. When the Federal Government slipped the 17th Amendment past the people, they removed the States balance of power against the Federal Government.
We can change Washington from the outside by insisting that the 17th Amendment of the Constitution be repealed. When the Federal Government slipped the 17th Amendment past the people, they removed the States balance of power against the Federal Government. Before the 17th Amendment Senators answered to the State legislators and represented the States interests in the administration of government. After the 17th Amendment Senators were elected by the people so became just another pair of "House" representatives. Only they are Representatives with super powers. Super powers that attract special interest groups that desire manipulating the Government. In short, at this time, Senators represent these special interests more than the people that elected them or the States they were originally supposed to represent in the first place. Its time for the people to give the power of the Senate back to the rightful representation of the States. Call or write your Senators. Insist that they act to repeal the 17th Amendment.
