Report: Justin Amash among 'rebellious' GOP reps booted from key U.S. House panels

Legislator: Rep. Justin Amash

Capitol newspaper Roll Call cited anonymous sources as saying Amash and others too often voted against party leadership.

Are the Republicans a political party or a Union? Is the party of “Freedom” and “Conservatism” really punishing its members for freely voting their conscience? It is a shame to see the party of Lincoln and Reagan turning its back on its heritage and its solid base.

The Republican Party has a pretty long tradition now of punishing a Conservative in action. Reagan was HATED by the Republican establishment.

Not counting Rep Amash and a handful of others, the GOP is fast becoming the WHIG Party. They deserve to be placed on the trash heep of history ... lost their core values years ago and George Washington warned the nation against parties in 1796. It's time to take the advise and run with it.
