we have such a large and overloaded government we need a total system failure, like an overloaded fuse, it needs to reset, but most Americans wont face the truth and make the tough decisions until we have to. only after the fuse blows can we begin to unplug all the federal over indulgences and return the government to the people at a local and state level, smaller more efficient, less expensive and alot less corruption

The way i see it the " fiscal cliff " is a leftist propaganda machine. The Republicans are idiots for pushing this bullshit. Obama and the Senate are criminal for not coming up with a budget. With no budget, that means nothing on paper, they can just keep spending. What we need to do as US citizens is make calls to our State officials to stop funding the Fed. put the money in trust until they come to their sences. The Sheriffs and Governors of each State should force all unessential federal employees ( EPA, HUD, FEMA, IRS, and Board of Education) out of the State, or go home until they come up with a budget the States would be willing to pay. We are a Republic and have power though our States. We are not getting fair representation by these politicians all they care about is being re elected. They are destroying this great country. We need to take their power away this is our right.

I have no confidence that our current set of lawmakers will solve the financial problems that plague this nation. I don't believe they have the slightest interest in legislating themselves and/or their donors/supporters out of taxpayer funded prosperity. We have witnessed decades of abuse of power at the local, state and federal levels which has resulted in the political elite being rewarded at taxpayer expense and have watched citizens on main street America suffer needlessly by the increase in regulations that prohibit individual growth. Many of our current legislators have been in office for decades and they are the people that created, then ignored, the problems we face. It doesn't matter whether you are sporting an R or a D on your political jersey, every American will suffer from our federal legislators inability to stop spending taxpayer money on their various and sundry pet projects. They care not about doing what is right for the "little" people. In my humble opinion, all the grandstanding on both sides of the aisle over what the currently rumored amount equals about 15% of deficit spending is ridiculous. In my opinion, we don't have an income problem, we have a spending problem and it is a problem neither side of the aisle is serious about solving.
