we have such a large and overloaded government we need a total system failure, like an overloaded fuse, it needs to reset, but most Americans wont face the truth and make the tough decisions until we have to.

We're already in trouble - I say let's go over the cliff in a spectacular swan dive! Maybe smaller paychecks will wake up some folks to what is happening: both the RINOs and the Dems are playing politics and have none of our best interests at heart.

Maybe when the sheep have to fork over more wool, they will start paying attention to what this administration is doing. I can always hope.....

I have my own "creative ways" to combat the wasteful spending of my tax dollars, so none of this ridiculous-insanity affects me really.

I suggest others find their own paths to fiscal salvation.....

There needs to be some "real" spending cuts, not using this baseline budgeting either. Cuts that actually reduce the amount of money spent by cutting programs we don't need, and by need, I mean if no one is going to die if it's cut, then cut it.

Yes we must have cuts a good place to start is the $150 billion Palosi and Reid got for passing Obama care.

The way i see it the " fiscal cliff " is a leftist propaganda machine. The Republicans are idiots for pushing this bullshit. Obama and the Senate are criminal for not coming up with a budget. With no budget, that means nothing on paper, they can just keep spending.

The problem is that both parties are playing politics as usual, when the discussion on taxes needs to be the elimination of the income tax as well as the "death" tax. I'm more inclined at this time to the "fair tax."

I have no confidence that our current set of lawmakers will solve the financial problems that plague this nation. I don't believe they have the slightest interest in legislating themselves and/or their donors/supporters out of taxpayer funded prosperity.
