Shut down, and every last one of these current scandalous politicians fired for incompitance, treason, and extorsion. Not to mention, the consistent lies and cover-ups. Now they're attacking our right to bear arms, and freedom of speech... This govt is out of control, and they're trying to change the rules on how the the house and senate vote things in or out to only need a small majority to pass whatever the top dogs on capital hill want to

It is good to show support of Christian companies by shopping at them but my concern is 1) what happens when politicians start using these issues in the same way some of the churches started using God in the 80's? Does anyone remember the, so called, evangelist that reached out to troubled Americans and told them God needed their money and to sell their house if that is what it took to get it? Does anyone remember all the older people who were facing death that gave titles to their paid homes or sold everything just to get in God's good graces? 2) Conditioning is a marvelous way for someone to control something, create a crisis and then train the people to give them your money to avert the crisis. Has this not happened a lot in recent years? Abortion, Fiscal Cliff, Obama's Birth Certificate, Elections or Hobby Lobby?

Why are the penalties so HARSH? 1.3 million per day! Is it a gross display of POWER to impose your will on American tax payers? Or are we being conditioned to send money in as tax payers to support those who might fight this injustice.

The purpose of my response is not to make you doubt what you support but to make you aware that conditioning others is a way to PROFIT off of crisis! Look at the profit margin! No product, couple of telemarketers, or in this day in age a recorded phone message, which explains in detail how you can use your credit card (valuable information in the hands of someone who knows how to exploit it), banking account info (valuable information in the hands of someone who knows how to exploit it) or just your Name, Address and Phone Number. Use caution, demand results, demand to see what your donation is being used for. How many people have contributed to an organization which support Pro Life or Cure Cancer? Has your money that you donated cured cancer or got lobbyist to reverse Roe vs. Wade? Is life conceived a life a mother or father can choose to abort? Who is the creator? Why are we sending money to support organizations which claim to support a cause when our politicians are being paid to uphold the principles of righteousness?

Wow, I am sorry my post came off that way, that I was pushing what I believe on anyone or asking for money, for a company that is doing just fine. That was not what I meant at all. I want to clearly state, I am not saying that anyone should send money, nor go and shop at HL, for any reason, other than if they were going to anyway, happy shopping. Heaven knows the company has plenty of money to pay the bills themselves. Nor was it meant to push beliefs on anyone, just voicing my own, badly, it seems.

I don't doubt my stance about much, I'm sturdy where I stand. I was raised to pay attention, to debate with knowledge and facts, and to search solutions or seek answers to my own questions. I have a brain and a heart, not that you were slamming me on either. I am smart, don't put others in a position to conditioned me, other than those that raised me.
I'm not a drama or crisis kind of person, I tend to pay more attention when something like this happens, what is the other hand doing?

I do not think that every fight is won with money, however, or in this case, a purchase. My purchase, however big or small, is one way of voicing my opinion. Freedom of Choice, may have been a bad choice of words, but it was about HL's choice to pursue their own company mission. This was not even a believe in God or not issue, it was about Washington thinking they can make rules, that they do not have the power to make for all of us. Note here that some of the chosen friends of the administration get special perks all the time. OUT OF ANY ADMINISTRATION, but the common American is not afforded the same. I have issue with that, not whether someone supports with money, voice, time, or belief.

If you prefer a different example of how I think or act upon things, I don't go to most movies for the same reason, I voice my opinion about the politics of Hollywood, the goods they product, the agendas they want push on me, by not paying to watch a movie or buy products advertised or made, by those I do not support. For ex: the 2nd Amendment is being railed against, but look at the millions many of the same actors that speak against it, have made making shoot and kill movies. Most in unlawful ways, but the story line simply seeks JUSTICE. Hummph, they want to take weapons out of law abiding citizens, except when it comes to their own bodyguards, but I can't protect myself? I won't give them a dime of my money. Again, just another way of showing my opinion, not pushing one on you or anyone else.

My goal was not money for HL, but voices raised about things like this, our government monies being wasted on fights like this one.
We have far bigger fish to be catching and frying. Where are the answers to Fast-n-Furious, Benghazi, or even the BP. Are we really being protected from foreign and domestic problems? The government at present, seems to go after things, to make us look the other way, so that the real issues are buried. This is just my opinion and not acceptable to me.
We don't have the money to do everything for everyone, wait, Hollywood just got $600+ million for what, exactly? And...let's not forget our enemies, lets make sure to pay them big!

Because I support a cause or charity does not mean that I, mindlessly, hand in my credit card to anyone, for such purpose.I honestly prefer hands on time for charities. Everyone should do their research before sending money to someone blindly, but that is not what I was trying to say.
When it comes to having a voice boycott or a simple purchase is just one way, I have a voice. Calling advertisers, boycotting products or channels, and with my elected officials, phoning, emailing and writing snail mail, is the only chance I have, to be heard, as a simple American.

I do have an issue with the Government pushing a secular or Christian, or anti-Christian agenda on me. They do not have the right.
Many local, state, and Washington officials have lost sense of the real jobs they have been sent to do, on my behalf or ours. They work for US, not themselves, or to seek power that should not be in their hands. They do not have the right to define much of how we live, I don't even want to be told how big of a soda I can buy, at any given time. They barely remember that we have something called a Constitution, or what it really means to protect our rights, stated clearly in the Constitution. However, they overstep their bounds, too often, and that is when voices raised in mass, might, help correct their paths.
My own family history and that of my husband's has taught me enough to know when to stand and when to jump. It is long past the time of jumping up and down about how Washington is attending to our business.

Yes, if anyone does support a charity, they should do their own research and make sure where the money really goes. EX: The Salvation Army is one that I support with my money, they use most of a dollar to help someone in need. Todd Basset, the President, makes $13 a yr.; whereas the president from the Red Cross, Gail McGovern, makes $500.
Charity is not always about money, I have donated time and effort, hands on for many yrs. to 3 different groups. That is an educated choice, not conditioning; save for my mother who taught me that charity comes in many different forms. Knowing and using choice, I want my money spent on people in need, not luxury for top execs.. Yes, I know for a fact that the President of the Red Cross travels in Luxury, has private cars from here to there, the best rooms in the best hotels and spends the company money, not a dime of her salary. It's been a common place act for yrs., no matter the name on the plaque. I do see that knowledge is power for the people and I use that knowledge.

I want YOU to know that my favorite time spent hands on is with veterans and active duty military. Yeah, I noticed the picture, I'm from a military family and my eldest serves us now.
Because of men like you, who really had hands, protecting my freedoms, I give my time and money to support you and those that will follow you. That is in no way about there being a God or not, it's all about the love I have for those who do and have served our country.

I certainly remember those TV Preacher days and knew people that sent them money, though I was not likely to be one of them. It came off as a money grab to me, with the drama of a day time soap, with the hopes God was listening and you were the one they were praying for. With that said, I am sure there were many that did find hope in a daily message or felt like they truly were the one being prayed for. Justice found it's way to those that men/women, and in God's time. Just my opinion, does not have to be yours.
As a Christian, I feel that I am not less, because someone else is not religious. I have not, nor could be conditioned to push my beliefs on anyone, I'm hardheaded, I'm told. Think for myself. I see the difference between self and country. I'm not pushing God on anyone, nor my own beliefs, here. I am pushing for voices to rise when the Government continues to overstep it bounds. If you agree or not, I'm cool with that, but never assume that because one stands up for another like minded group, that it is about money or about someone, pushing an agenda; this was about just another stab at my own like mined group. EX: every time the government has turned it's back on any of my veterans, I become a thorn in someone's backside, until they fix it!

Lynn, Please don't think I am attacking you. That is not the intention of my reply. I applaud you for standing firm on Godly principles and I hope you are not afraid to share with others what having a relationship with God can do for others as it has done for you. I too, shop at Hobby Lobby from time to time. I enjoy supporting businesses who support religion and righteous values but the object of my post is to make others aware that there is a lot of people asking for money to support different causes as I got a call from Mitt Romney almost every day for 4 months leading up to the election. A lot of people are exploiting issues like gun control to pad their pocket. With so many snakes in the grass it is possible to handle something that is poisonous. My suggestion stay away from ALL snakes.

I too choose to donate my time rather than my money because I do not have a lot of money. I think labor is a good way to show others God's love. I never donate money because money is an evil thing to a lot of people. I do believe in tithing God his money to do his work but I am very careful to make sure that God's work is being done. Thank You for your support of our troops and thank you for your post. I hope you understand that we are both patriots and I am just trying to make you aware that it is easy for the left to publish an email claiming support for the right while taking your money and putting in the lefts pocket.

Katheryn, you are exactly right! Again, I am agreeing that this is an absolute injustice that Hobby Lobby is being attacked for standing up for righteous principles. I just hope others realize that, like the Enron scandal which died on 9/11, there is a lot of people out there who have discovered that crisis can make money. If you want to make serious money with no overhead create a crisis and then organize a group where you can send a donation to fight it. How much money do you think was raised for Sandy Hook?
