Just eliminating the waste, fraud, and abuse found in government spending would show that the American people are serious about economic reform. Even the biggest entitlement programs i.e. Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid have huge problems with managing their expenditures. Our founding fathers knew that religion, morality, and knowledge were all required elements in the American people's task of living within the bounds of our constitution. Sadly, the American people are falling short in their responsibilities. There are times when I get very discouraged while in conversations with friends and acquaintances seeing the apathy and low level of understanding there is in this country.
