The second amendment isn't clear. It says we should have weapons to keep the state (country?) secure, not for personal protection or hunting. And later the constitution says we should not have a standing army. Today we have lots of standing armies. And necessarily.

I agree with Bruce, we shouldn't just transgress the constitution. Let's instead vote on what we want and guide our government. There's a new site called PeopleCount.org where you can actually vote your positions on guns and the constitution. It's a startup and needs work, but it'd be great to actually vote on what we want and see if we, as a country, can agree on how to clarify the constitution.

There were no "inalienable rights" before we said there were. It's time to speak again.

The results on PeopleCount.org can be reported by district, state and nationally. It'll easily fuel an effort to amend the constitution. Let's make it clear once and for all what rights we have.

Yea bruce its about time that some in that industry stand up for whats right. If the government takes away our right to bear arms then it will only be criminals with those weapons. Also its funny how the same government that want to do this also got caught selling them to the drug cartell and responcible for criminals getting those weapons, what side are they really on?
