GOP lawmakers blast Treasury Dept. for OKing pay hikes to bailout firms
Washington - Republican lawmakers harshly criticized the Treasury Department for approving hefty compensation packages for executives at companies that received large government bailouts, including General Motors Co. Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, who chairs a House subcommittee that held a hearing Tuesday on the issue, called the pay for executives from bailed-out companies "egregious."
