Portland, Oregon likes to fancy itself as ahead of the curve, and more educated than your average city. We're routinely listed as among the most wired cities in the nation, and typically have a more educated workforce than most. Our biggest mission, it seems, is to become the greenest city imaginable.

Yup, Oregun is half way between Californica and Washington AC-DC, another boil on the A55 of America. Drive through Wyoming, Iowa and many other junkmill blighted states, a sad trip indeed. I'll take loser solar over wind any day.

Here in Colorado we also had our own "success" story of Govt solar power investment - Abound Solar. They made solar panels that had a distrubing propensity to catch fire WHENVER YOU PUT THEM IN THE SUN. So they worked just fine as long as you didn't try to actually generate electricity.

All we have to do is look where they have already been doing it longer. Sounds easy just watch and learn from others who have tried and failed!
