Here's the big Question ... Are Children and Young people Being strongly Influenced by Hard Core and Blood Drenched Video Games and violent media.

Defination of freedom for some is very much a goodness type of freedom. These are the people who try and do well to follow their Lord.

Dwight- I took these 8 year olds away from the "Call of Duty" Video game to play monopoly, sticks and even went so far as teaching them how to cook.
One out of the 3 boys had major problems in playing by the rules or insisting on having the rules changed to his way. This boy had very little social skills in respecting or getting along with the other two to the extent he'd rather not play than give up his way.

It doesn't matter what rating you put on the product if ths no parenting or likewise to say NO , there is the problem- people having kids and then instead of comforting them or teaching them they plop them in front of the TV or the X-box for babysitting purposes. too many people having kids and they can barely take care of themselves .

Funny that no one thinks our kids are influenced by foreign policy. When we routinely send in drone strikes that kill innocent people, invade and occupy countries that do not want us there, and give billions to dictators that kill and torture people.

@ Deb
We all need to be closely involved with the children, to implement the ideas that really work in them, in this ever changing world.
Every child is mine, and I treat them all the same, like they were mine.
They love it. . .

Keenan- That's the problem. It started in my generation (60's) and is 100 times more so today. Parents giving into kids expecting cars be a gift because they graduated or turned 16?
Now, these children grew as parents over-giving to their children because they can't say NO.

I'm just sharing my experience while travelling to many states, residing in Middle Class Subdivisions where it's no longer safe for children to play outdoors, neighbors don't know and don't care to know each other and children growing up indoors with nothing better to do than watch TV or play games.

Keenan , I agree discipline is another part of it but I also say we have to still look at the hate, distrust, spying, lies, spin, theft, you name it, coming from every levels of society and if you are someone it seems to be okay. I also think this woman has a point to some degree http://youtu.be/EOKP2n585aQ

Lack of strong parental discipline and trainning is the real problem and parents should absolutely determine what their children watch and listem to on a daily basis until the child is firmly grounded in good moral character and self discipline.

You hit it on the nail Braveheart.
Problem remains is how do parents teach moral character and self discipline when it's not even in their vocabulary?
Most idolize TV Characters, imitating lifestyles/personalities, sometimes line per line to acquire attention and personify themselves above all others such as Kardashins, Mob Wives and the list goes on.

Just have to say, I remember when "Catcher of the Rye" was banned from School Libraries and the "House of the Rising Sun" banned from Radio Stations. Makes back then seem like nothing compared to the standards within our society today.

I agree Deb, the general population has been spoon fed ever increasing helpings of trash and sick hollywood garbage for generations now and they have little appreciation for real moral character or even polite manners. I grew up in the 50's-60's and remember when we were taught to respect everything pertaining to family, God and Country.

So true Braveheart. Sad to say, the deterioration of these values started to crumble in the radical years of the 60's inspired by the death of JFK, Martin Luther King, Bobby Kennedy, Vietnam War, drugs, riots and complete rebellion for all that we grew up valuing.
From there on it's been a movement to the extreme as technology has disconnected building relationships one on one, face to face engaged in real communication.
Hollywood has always been a reflection of our society.
