The way things look it's hard to see, Will There Be Christmas this year.
The looming fiscal cliff, the fog clouding our minds, how we haven't quite been able to digest the massacre in Newtown, it is so hard to make ends meet today, Christmas has been removed from everywhere and loved ones may not be around this year...
Christmas is a time for the celebration of a child who was the gift to the world, Christ Jesus. His gift was the greatest gift of all, the gift of salvation.
I was reading a story of how John the Baptist was born around the same time as Jesus was. When Joseph was told by Mary she was having a child, he became hard-pressed until an angel spoke to him. Mary went away for a little while and visited Elizabeth and Zachary who were having a baby also, he would be the baby who would become John The Baptist. John as the baby, leaped in his mothers womb and Jesus leaped at the same time, when Mary came and saw Elizabeth.
John The Baptist was to prepare the way for people to accept the coming of Jesus and to clear any where there was a blocking of the news of His arrival.
The gift to the world of Mercy, Salvation and Eternal Life.
If you feel down and out this Christmas, the best way to cheer up is to clear the way for Christ Jesus, by telling someone the Christmas story.
Christ Jesus is as close as our ♥
Christ Jesus is the reason for the season.
Merry Christmas everyone ✗ ♥
What an uplifting reminder of our Christ Jesus. I trust him and am very happy even with all the chaos going on in the world. We all realize that when you take God away from everything, that only evil can prevail.
Merry Christmas to you Jeffrey and to everyone. God bless us and the USA.
Great encouragement about Christmas.
Although, much of the secular world may feel like they may not have Christmas because of lack of gifts, money, or family; Christmas is here all the same. It started with a babe in a manger, not things. Christ was the greatest gift ever, and when you remember he is the reason for the season it makes the season a time of joy.
Thanks again for the reminder, and Merry CHRISTmas everyone.
Christ's birth is here any time you are ready for it.
There will always be Christmas, so long as we remember the birth of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Sun of God. Always marked in the Heart of the All-Father's Yuletide, Dec 21. Father and Son. Yuletide and Christmas.
To prove my case, I direct you to look at Odin, who is Osiris in Old Age, and his connection to Father Christmas. And remember how much Norse and Celtic Culture influence Christmas in Northern Europe, Russian, and Western colonized areas of Earth.
So keep that in mind this Christmas, when thinking and reflecting upon the reason for the season with Aphodite's Trojan Mistletoe, Odin's Yuletide, and the Jewish Mary and Jesus and the Greek-Egyptian Christ of Zeus and Isis. The Peace of the Earth in Jesus Christ.
Thank you jeffrey, very touching and beautiful, we discussed this very same thing at Church yesterday. No matter what they try to do, they can remove His name and not believe, they are the lost souls that we must pray for. We will always have Christmas, and that is something they can never take away. We have our Faith and God is with us.
The Love of all Nations, Jesus Christ. Amon.
Amen Frank!!! Christ is always with us so Christmas will always be here!! Rejoice Freedom Fighters!!!
To the youngster Jeff
When you get to be my age, you live like everyday is christmas, and of course it is, even for people your age. You just have to live that life. . .
Yes there will be Christmas! No matter how many bans they pass, as God designed it, God and Jesus live within us in our hearts and souls where govt can not touch them!
Luke 2:1-20 (NIV)
Luke 2:1-20 (NIV)
1 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to his own town to register. 4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
The Shepherds and the Angels
8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." 15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about." 16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
Never forget the real reason for the season. Even though there are many pagan explanations of how the world works and why we celebrate the winter solstice. Jesus is just another in the long line of explanations.
I believe because I want to believe. . .
